St Ives

Today I feel content Miles have been travelled, hours have passed A beautiful spot looking out to sea The blue water crashing against the rocks A most calming sound Looking left and then the right Not a single person in sight A reality that is rarely encountered Though am happy to see Alone with the breeze The rocks jut in the open expanse From afar so gentle Leaving no scar Perched high above the water Inviting, delighting the senses A constant to and fro Caressing the jagged rocks

Converging

The wind and rain howl Converging on the openness Struggling, walking into the harshness Fingers, red, cold unable to move Layer upon layer wet through Though paying attention to the view Shrouded in moisture the distance seemed little It was done again Seeing the space from a new perspective New ideas, viewpoints Ignorance of unimportance
